Build your Leadership Team - How to

Though you could go it alone, we highly encourage you to form a small team of local business owners to help make your Alliance a success. Building a team does not have to be difficult, and it can provide vital support when you are busy, from increasing attendance to finding venues and organizing events.

Plus, if you ever have a bad hair day, a flat tire, or a last-minute vacation offer for the tropics, you will already have a backup in place to be assured that the event will still go as planned.

Co-ambassadors should start here https://www.alignablealliance.com/apply and indicate on their application that you referred in them.

How do you build a team?

Start by reaching out to other business owners you already know, existing contacts or reach out to businesses you would like to see represented on your team. It’s good to have a variety across industries, e.g. an accountant, lawyer, architect, trades people and local mom & pop shops.

If you do not have connections with existing business owners, you can still go ahead, launch your event and then ask participants if they are interested in supporting the group. You can explain that each of you will have a small part, such as helping out with event management and marketing (outside of Alignable) in the future. You will be amazed how many people will be happy to be an active part of the Alliance, if you just ask for help.
